TLD5803B EXCITER CONVERSION TO 220 MHZ BAND Conversion done by WD7F, KD7TXO (their brains) and K7IOU (my brawn) Change C444 from 18 pF to 5 pF silver mica. Change C448 from 24 pF to 7.5 pF NP0 disk. Change C449 from 43 pF to 15 pF NP0 disk. Change C453 from 18 pF to 7.5 pF NP0 disk. Change C452 from 11 pF to 4.7 pF NP0 disk. Change C456 from 8 pF to 3.9 pF NP0 disk. Change C457 from 10 pF to 3.9 pF NP0 disk. Change R434 from 1200 ohm to 820 ohm. Change R435 from 39 ohm to 100 ohm. Change R436 from 15 ohm to 180 ohm. Change this value to adjust the output power to the desired level with the filter installed. This change gave us 110 mW drive for both our modules. Depending on the desired output power, you may need to change this resistor to a different value. Also adjust the exciter pass filter for harmonic rejection. This filter will have some loss. Change Q406 from M9390 to 2N2222Z metal transistor. We changed this as our output power would start cold at 180 mW when keyed and drop to 114 mW on warm up. With this replacement, it went to 300 mW with all the other changes listed above.
