Technical Information and Modifications for Test Equipment by Wavetek Inc. and CT Systems Inc. |
Why both CT Systems, Inc. and Wavetek Inc. on this page?
CT was bought by Wavetek at some point and production of some of the CT products was continued by Wavetek under that name.
If anyone would like to contribute other manuals we'd be happy to host
them. We'd also like to see articles on how-to-use, troubleshooting, repair, etc.
And if anyone can provide front and rear photos of the models listed below that would be useful.
If someone has the skin off their unit it would be appreciated if they could take a few interior photos and send them in.

Model SSI-3000 Service Monitor 611 KB PDF A ZIP file of the schematics for the: A1 Mixer Board, A11 Frequency Control-1, A11 Frequency Control-2, A2 Low Freq PLL, A7 Deflection Circuit, A9 Display Board, Cable Diagram, CRT Interconnect, Front Panel Wiring, HV Power Supply, Inverter, Low Voltage PS. NOTE THAT THIS ZIP FILE IS NOT COMPLETE - there are some boards missing, but this is what we were able to get. The tantalum capacitors that Wavetek used have been known to go bad. In several cases "dead" 3000s have been brought back to life with no more than doing a wholesale replacement of all the small tantalum capacitors (values between 1-100 uF) in the RF module, and the other modules that are in the loop. |
