Noise Blanker Control

I have created a modification for the noise blanker circuit to make it run full-time. The normal usage is programmable via the front-panel "A"-button. The mod allows you to use the "A"-button for something else, and still have the noise blanker activated all the time, which is desirable for mobile use of the radio. The schematic snippets below guide you through the modification. Click on any image for a larger view.

The first image shows the static on/off voltages around the noise blanker control circuit so we know what we're working with.

The second image shows the beginning of the mod to disconnect the "A"-button control line from the noise-blanker logic.

The third image shows what traces to cut and access, and the added resistor used to activate the noise blanker.

The last image is just a close-up of the text at the bottom of the photo above.
