(Firmware version R3.00 ) or Scan/Battery Saver (Firmware
versions R3.00 or R1.34 ) Symptom #1: Radio does not properly function in the Quik Call II paging mode. Cause #1: The microprocessor in the JT1000 is improperly coded for Quik Call II support. Corrective Action #1: Verify firmware version is R3.00 by entering test mode (pressing sidebutton 3, five times). Send radio to the address below for repair: Motorola Florida Regional Support Center $25 labor is authorized by warranty for Depot repair only. Symptom #2: Poor receiver range when using scan or
battery saver. Corrective Action #2: If the radio is R3.00, the fix is same as Corrective Action #1. If firmware version is R1.34, CORRECTIVE ACTION is: After the install of the RSS patch file for HT1000/VISAR/JT1000, version CP.v31, into programming station the following steps can be taken: 1. When in the HT1000 directory, type "CPFIXV31" Note 2: Since this parameter is "clonable", care should be taken that a template previously created with the earlier scan timing defaults be deleted or updated to insure that the new codeplug value is maintained going forward. To receive a copy of the RSS patch file, fill out the form below and return it by fax to Customer Resources. The diskette will be shipped within two business days to the address listed. $15 labor is authorized by warranty for radios that display the SCAN/Battery Saver symptom.
