Subject: Proper initial battery maintenance for the Visar line of batteries.

Symptom: Sub optimal performance of the battery may result in premature low battery indication and reduced duty cycles.

Cause: Improper 'forming' of the battery during the initial charge cycle.

Corrective Action: New batteries or batteries that have undergone long periods of storage (in excess of two months) must be charged for 16 hours prior to use. This will assure that optimum performance is achieved.
