| The water resistant speakers have/had a plasticized cone that was used a lot on outdoor speakers and on motorcycles. The waterproof speakers are for marine and other watercraft applications and have a full plastic cone plus the voice coil area is/was sealed. When the speakers failed on motorcycles in rainy states (like Washington, Oregon and northern California) they were frequently replaced with marine speakers. |
